At least five employees at Halo Studios were laid off during Microsoft’s recent layoffs, which affected 9,000 staff globally, including 830 in Washington. The studio, currently working on the next Halo installment and facing production challenges, has shifted towards using contracted studios for development, amid growing concerns about the reliance on AI in the workplace.
