Israel strikes Lebanon as pressure mounts in Beirut to disarm Hezbollah

The Israeli military intensified strikes in southern Lebanon, including a drone attack that killed Hezbollah commander Hassan Mohammad Hamoudi, amid a fragile ceasefire following last November’s war. Lebanese officials condemned the ongoing Israeli assaults as violations of the ceasefire, while Hezbollah’s Naim Qassem warned against continued attacks, insisting the group would not disarm as the U.S. pressures Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah in exchange for Israeli withdrawal from occupied villages.
