Belarusian opposition leader Siarhei Tsikhanouski has been released from prison and is now in Lithuania, along with 13 other political prisoners, following discussions between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and U.S. envoy Keith Kellogg. Tsikhanouski, who was imprisoned for 18 years after running against Lukashenko in the disputed 2020 elections, was welcomed by his wife, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, who is also in exile, as they continue to advocate for the release of over 1,100 political prisoners still incarcerated in Belarus.
