'Masterful' romance novel wins Women's Prize for Fiction

This year’s Women’s Prize for Fiction was awarded to Dutch author Yael van der Wouden for her debut novel The Safekeep, which explores an unlikely romance in 1960s Netherlands, described by judges as a “masterful blend of history, suspense and historical authenticity.” The Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction went to Dr. Rachel Clarke for The Story of a Heart, detailing two families connected by organ donation.
