A 23-year-old Michigan man, John Charles Robinson, was arrested for calling in a fake bomb threat to Spirit Airlines after missing his flight to Los Angeles. Robinson, who was initially told to rebook, phoned in a threat about Flight 2145, prompting the flight’s cancellation and a security sweep by the FBI, which found no explosives. He faces charges for maliciously conveying false information and was released on a $10,000 bond, with a court appearance scheduled for June 27.
