Hamilton homicide: Man admits murdering baby, trying to kill a woman and child

A 34-year-old man has pleaded guilty to murdering a baby and attempting to kill a woman and another child during a New Year’s Day attack in Hamilton. The infant died at a home on January 1, while the woman, believed to be the mother, suffered a stab wound to the neck. The man appeared in the High Court at Hamilton, where he admitted to the charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
