Today, the European Parliament’s Left group condemned Israel’s interception of the British-flagged aid ship Madleen in international waters, labeling it a “blatant violation of international law.” The ship, carrying essential supplies for Gaza, including food and medical items, was stopped by Israeli forces, and its 12 crew members, including MEP Rima Hassan, were detained. The Left group called for immediate action from European authorities to ensure the crew’s safety and allow humanitarian aid to Gaza, highlighting the urgent need for international condemnation of Israel’s actions.
