A Gaza-bound aid boat, the British-flagged yacht Madleen, carrying Greta Thunberg and other activists was diverted to Israel, with the Israeli foreign ministry stating the passengers would return home while humanitarian aid aboard would be transferred to Gaza through official channels. The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) claimed the activists were “kidnapped” by Israeli forces, which had been instructed to prevent the vessel from reaching Gaza. Despite the diversion, humanitarian concerns remain, as the region faces dire conditions due to an ongoing blockade exacerbated by conflict.
