In a chilling development, the cold case of Bonnie Woodward, a mother who disappeared in 2010 from her workplace in Alton, Illinois, was cracked after her husband, Roger Carroll, allegedly stated, “I have killed for you.” Following domestic violence incidents, Carroll was arrested, and his son testified that his father forced him to help dispose of Woodward’s body after her murder. Despite the absence of her remains, Carroll was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 65 years in prison, with an appeal currently pending.
