Artist Alex Arizmendi created a vibrant poster for the 1987 animated film G.I. Joe: The Movie, a private commission not available for purchase. The film expands the G.I. Joe universe, introducing the ancient civilization Cobra-La and its leader Golobulus, who threatens humanity with mutative spores. Although it faced production delays and went direct-to-video, the movie is noted for its darker tone, ambitious storytelling, and cult following, particularly for its infamous scene where Duke’s fate is softened by a last-minute voiceover.
