On the first day of Eid al-Adha, the Israeli army intensified its attacks on Gaza, issuing evacuation orders for several neighborhoods in northern Gaza while planning to bombard civilian infrastructure, despite no rockets being fired from the region. Israeli spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned residents of blocks 608, 609, 615, and 616 to evacuate immediately, as these areas had already been home to previously displaced Palestinians. Since October 2023, Israel’s offensive has reportedly resulted in nearly 54,700 Palestinian deaths, primarily among women and children, amidst ongoing international condemnation and calls for accountability for war crimes.
