Australia’s WACE has become the first foreign government-backed school board to operate in India, receiving equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities for its Class X and XII qualifications, marking the first approval for a foreign board in 25 years. The curriculum, administered through the Western Australian International School System, aligns with India’s National Education Policy 2020, offering a balanced approach to education that supports holistic development. Initially established in Karnataka, WAIS allows students to apply for global universities using the ATAR system without additional entrance exams, enhancing accessibility.
