Nottingham Forest have requested the release of VAR audio recordings related to three key decisions that went against them in their match at Everton on Sunday.

Following their 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park, Forest took to social media to express their frustration over the decision to dismiss three penalty claims.

The club mentioned that they had informed Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) about their concerns regarding VAR Stuart Attwell, but the appointment was not changed.

Nottingham Forest has today submitted a formal request to the PGMOL to release into the public domain the audio recordings between officials during yesterday’s match against Everton at Goodison Park.

Sources have revealed that Forest’s referee analyst Mark Clattenburg contacted PGMOL chief of refereeing Howard Webb to discuss their concerns about Attwell prior to the match, but there was no request to change the appointment.

Forest is now calling for the public release of the audio between Attwell and on-field referee Anthony Taylor.

PGMOL has been contacted for comment. Forest’s statement emphasized the need for transparency and integrity in the sport by sharing the audio recordings related to the key match incidents.

Earlier this season, PGMOL agreed to release audio connected to a controversial decision in a Liverpool match.

Forest expressed their disappointment over the decisions made during the match and stated that they will explore their options moving forward.

Clattenburg, in a column for the Daily Mail, criticized the errors made by the officials and highlighted Forest’s frustration with the refereeing decisions in their Premier League campaign.
