Two former Gamecock stars earn big-time WNBA honors

Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson and Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray have been recognized as the WNBA’s Players of the Week for the period from May 26th to June 1st. Wilson, earning her 23rd Player of the Week title, averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds over two games, including a season-high 35 points against the Los Angeles Sparks, while Gray achieved the honor for the first time in her career with averages of 26.5 points and shooting 65.2% from the field. Both players are instrumental to their teams’ strong starts, with the Aces at 4-2 and the Dream at 5-2 this season.
