A seven-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh, India, underwent life-saving surgery to remove a three-inch nail that had been allegedly driven into her skull by a paedophile during an assault.
The nail had penetrated her neck and palate, partially entering her brain, but specialists at King George’s Medical University Hospital successfully removed it without damaging critical nerves or brain tissue. Now in stable condition, the girl is recovering well and is expected to be discharged in a few days, showing no signs of neurological issues.
