The approval of a $400 million solar and battery hybrid project in Narrogin has been delayed due to the proponent’s concerns over the shire’s 27 conditions, which were deemed “problematic” and “unsound” by Land Insights presenter Rebekah Hampson. During a Regional Development Assessment Panel meeting, nine of the conditions were disputed, leading to a 30-day deferral for further review. The panel will assess a revised application report in mid-June to reach a final decision.
