Five skiers were found dead on the Adler Glacier above Zermatt, Switzerland, after hikers reported abandoned skis near the Rimpfischhorn mountain. Aerial and ground searches by Valais cantonal police revealed three bodies on avalanche debris and two higher on the mountain, prompting an investigation into weather and avalanche conditions in the area. Formal identification of the victims is ongoing, and their nationalities have not been disclosed, while Zermatt remains a popular destination for British and European skiers.
