Conservative Borrelli holds onto Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore by 4 votes

A judicial recount in Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore confirmed Conservative Kathy Borrelli’s victory over Liberal Irek Kusmierczyk by just four votes, following an initial margin of 77 votes from the April 28 election. The recount process, which reviewed over 70,000 ballots, was ordered due to flagged tabulation errors and a high number of rejected ballots, ultimately reaffirming Borrelli’s total of 32,090 votes (45.8%) to Kusmierczyk’s 32,086 (45.7%). Borrelli expressed gratitude for the confirmation and willingness to serve the community, while Kusmierczyk acknowledged the close fight and the support of his constituents.
