CosMc’s Closure
McDonald’s has announced the closure of its CosMc’s takeout-only mini-chain, which focused on beverages and opened its first location in Bolingbrook, Illinois, in late 2023. The company stated that all existing CosMc’s locations in the US will close by the end of next month, following a pilot phase that began in January. While the standalone restaurants are shutting down, some beverage flavors inspired by CosMc’s will be integrated into McDonald’s menus as part of a new beverage test initiative.
