At least 53,822 Palestinians have been killed since the onset of the conflict in October 2023, according to the Health Ministry, which reported 60 bodies and 185 injuries in the last 24 hours, raising the total injuries to 122,382. The Israeli army resumed attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in 3,673 additional deaths and over 10,300 injuries, violating a prior ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders for war crimes, and a genocide case is pending at the International Court of Justice.
