IndiGo Flight Emergency Landing in Srinagar

On May 21, IndiGo’s Delhi-Srinagar flight (6E-2142) encountered severe turbulence and hailstorm near Pathankot, forcing pilots to manually control the Airbus A321neo amid multiple warnings. After considering a return to Delhi, the crew opted to continue to Srinagar, ultimately declaring an urgency situation as the aircraft’s descent rate reached 8,500 feet per minute. They landed safely with over 220 passengers on board, although the plane sustained damage to its nose radome during the ordeal, with no injuries reported.
