University of Maryland Graduation Ceremony
At the University of Maryland’s graduation ceremony, Kermit the Frog inspired students as the commencement speaker, marking his first address since 1996. This event carries special significance as Jim Henson, the creator of Kermit, graduated from the university in 1960; a bronze statue commemorating both Kermit and Henson is located outside the student union.
