Vancouver police reported that Peterhans Nungu, 34, accused of assaulting a tourist on the Coal Harbour seawall, has been released from a secure medical facility and is now under house arrest in Vancouver. The alleged attack occurred on April 15 and was described as life-threatening by the victim on TikTok. Nungu, who had been released on bail for a separate assault on an officer just a day prior, must comply with court conditions, including no weapons or alcohol, and will be monitored by the police for compliance.
