Photos from the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office reveal a large hole in a jail cell wall, believed to be how 10 inmates escaped from a New Orleans jail. The escape route, which included a missing set of horizontal bars and a disconnected toilet, suggests possible insider assistance, as indicated by Sheriff Susan Hutson. Two inmates have been recaptured, while the remaining eight are still at large and considered armed and dangerous, following a headcount that discovered their absence.
