Robert Price, a 76-year-old pensioner in Dagenham, east London, died after two teenagers, Nathan Otitodilchukwu, 18, and a 16-year-old boy, ignited a firework inside his home, laughing as they fled. Price, who had been harassed by local youths for years and had dementia, had boarded up his windows due to previous vandalism. Both defendants have admitted to manslaughter, with the court hearing they had plotted the attack and recorded themselves prior to the incident, which resulted in Price being trapped in the flames as neighbors attempted to help.
