Four construction workers have been charged with manslaughter following the death of Michaela Boor, who was critically injured by falling bricks in East London while walking to her son’s nursery on March 29, 2018. Despite paramedics’ efforts, the 28-year-old succumbed to her injuries two days later, shortly after being declared brain-dead. After a seven-year investigation, the defendants, including crane operator Alexander McInnes and construction company Higgins Homes PLC, are set to appear in court on June 16, facing charges related to gross negligence and health and safety violations.
