US President Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East is expected to trigger a major arms race, primarily centered around a military resupply deal with Saudi Arabia that includes the acquisition of F-15EX fighter jets. Saudi Arabia plans to replace its outdated F-15 models with up to 200 F-15EX jets, while Israel is also finalizing a deal for 25 aircraft at $2.5 billion. This arms race, fueled by global conflicts and geopolitical tensions, coincides with Trump’s efforts to strengthen the US economy through extensive military and civilian contracts with the Saudis, potentially worth between $600 billion and $1 trillion.
