Johnson removed as PM because he didn’t eat cake, says Nadine Dorries | News

Nadine Dorries has claimed that Boris Johnson was removed as prime minister simply because he did not eat a piece of cake.

During her appearance on GB News on Sunday (14 April), the former Conservative MP shared her views on Mr Johnson potentially returning to frontline politics.

While addressing students in Washington, the former prime minister did not rule out a comeback amidst ongoing speculation about his future.

Following a string of scandals, Mr Johnson was forced out of Downing Street in 2022.

Ms Dorries stated: “The only true reason for Boris Johnson’s removal as prime minister was his refusal to eat a piece of cake that was brought to him at his desk, resulting in a fixed penalty notice.”
