Sheriff’s deputies in Florida pursued a stolen 66-foot luxury yacht, apprehending Russian national Nikolai Vilka, who attempted to flee through the Intracoastal Waterway after stealing the vessel from Blowing Rocks Marina. Video footage showed six armed deputies launching a boat chase as the suspect maneuvered toward the Hobe Sound Bridge, but the pursuit ended quickly when units surrounded the yacht and forced it to halt. Vilka, who claimed not to speak English, was taken into custody with assistance from the Department of Homeland Security, and authorities are investigating his motives.
