Marine experts have commenced the recovery of the British-flagged superyacht Bayesian, which sank near Sicily last summer, resulting in the deaths of tech tycoon Mike Lynch, his daughter, and five others. The operation, utilizing two powerful floating cranes, is being overseen by the Italian coast guard and is expected to last 20 to 25 days, after which investigators will examine the wreck. The sinking, attributed to a sudden storm, has led to an investigation involving the captain and crew members, with preliminary reports from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch anticipated soon.
