Experts from Oligo Security have identified 23 vulnerabilities in Apple’s AirPlay feature that could allow hackers to infiltrate devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Two critical flaws, named ‘AirBorne,’ enable remote code execution, potentially leading to malware infection, espionage, or data theft. Apple has addressed these vulnerabilities in its iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 updates released on April 28, so users should ensure their devices are updated and consider disabling AirPlay when not in use to enhance security.
