RTA lifts 5.9 million passengers during Eid Al Fitr holiday 1445 H/2024 – UAE

During the holiday of Eid Al Fitr 1445H (10 to 12 April 2024), Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) reported that public transport means, taxis, and shared mobility vehicles collectively transported approximately 5.9 million passengers.

The breakdown of these numbers reveals that the Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines accommodated 2.32 million riders, the Dubai Tram served 115 thousand passengers, public buses were utilized by 1.2 million individuals, and marine transport ferried 416 thousand riders. Taxis were responsible for transporting 1.6 million passengers, while shared mobility vehicles catered to 308,000 passengers.
