While Ghosh defended his actions as a personal choice and embraced the government’s invitation, Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar distanced the party from Ghosh’s visit, emphasizing a collective decision to protest recent communal violence instead. This division in the party’s response has resulted in criticism from other leaders, including MP Saumitra Khan.
