Iran Accuses US of Provocative Behavior Amid Nuclear Talks
Iran criticized the United States for its “contradictory behavior and provocative statements” following new oil-related sanctions imposed on Tehran and warnings regarding its support for Yemen’s Houthis. As negotiations to curb Iran’s nuclear program continue, with a fourth round set in Rome, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned of consequences for Iranian actions supporting the Houthis, who have attacked ships in the Red Sea. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson attributed the responsibility for escalating tensions to the US and expressed concerns over American decision-makers’ sincerity in diplomacy.
