US warplane falls off aircraft carrier into Red Sea

A multi-million-dollar F/A-18E warplane fell from the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier into the Red Sea on Monday, injuring one sailor, according to the Navy. The incident occurred while the aircraft, valued at $67 million, was being towed in the hangar bay when the crew lost control, leading to both the plane and the tow tractor going overboard. All personnel are accounted for, and while the carrier continues operations amidst ongoing investigations into the accident, this marks the second F/A-18 loss from the Truman in six months.
