A car ramming attack that killed 11 people in Vancouver on Saturday evening stopped the federal election campaign in its tracks on its second-last day.

The Vancouver Police confirmed the attack occurred during the Lapu Lapu Filipino festival, injuring over 20 individuals, with a 30-year-old male suspect in custody, reportedly suffering from mental health issues. Prime Minister Carney, visibly affected, expressed condolences for the victims’ families and announced adjustments to the Liberal campaign, while the violence could potentially shift voter sentiment towards the Conservatives amid ongoing concerns about the justice system.
