This move follows Trump’s executive orders aimed at enforcing federal disclosure laws for foreign gifts over $250,000, as Education Secretary Linda McMahon cited failures in UC Berkeley’s disclosures of substantial foreign funding, including a reported $220 million from the Chinese government. In response, UC Berkeley denied the allegations, stating it has cooperated with inquiries and is no longer affiliated with TBSI.
