Five people have drowned due to large waves hitting parts of Australia at the beginning of the Easter weekend, with two others reported missing off the coasts of New South Wales and Victoria. The body of a man was discovered near Tathra, following the deaths of a fisherman and two other men in separate incidents in New South Wales, while a woman drowned and a man is missing in San Remo, Victoria. Victoria Premier Jacinta Allan expressed condolences, urging caution at coastal locations, as Surf Life Saving Australia highlighted the dangers at unpatrolled beaches.
