On April 14, the Odessa College baseball team faced El Paso Community College, splitting the series after a 7-2 loss, a 4-2 win, a narrow 9-8 loss, and a decisive 13-4 victory. Head coach David Wood praised El Paso’s talent while highlighting the importance of maintaining consistency as the team prepares for upcoming challenges against Howard College and New Mexico Junior College. Additionally, pitcher Daniel Lopez earned WJCAC Player of the Week honors for his impressive performance, including a no-hitter and a strong outing during the series in his hometown.
