However, Alekna quickly surpassed Denny with throws of 74.89m and then 75.56m, intensifying their rivalry. Denny’s remarkable performance, following his recent achievement of being the first Australian to exceed 70 meters, positions him as a strong contender for gold at the upcoming world titles in Tokyo.
