Kerala HC lawyer accused in rape case found hanging

Kollam: P G Manu, a Kerala High Court lawyer and former senior government pleader, was found dead hanging in his rented accommodation on Sunday morning. He was facing allegations of rape from a woman he had represented and had recently been granted bail by the Supreme Court. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, which is being treated as a possible suicide, amid reports of Manu experiencing severe psychological distress following recent events, including an apology visit related to a harassment complaint.
