Australia, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and a joint bid from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are among the seven nations vying to host the 2031 Asian Cup, as confirmed by AFC president Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa at the annual congress in Kuala Lumpur. Sheikh Salman suggested voting for the 2031 and 2035 Asian Cups be held together, with none of the Central Asian nations having hosted the finals before. The winning bid for the 2031 event has yet to be decided, with the possibility of also awarding the rights for the 2035 edition at the same time to elevate standards and provide a longer runway for the host member association.
