Netflix is testing a new search engine powered by OpenAI, allowing users to search for shows using more specific terms like mood and beyond genres or actors’ names. The feature, currently available in Australia and New Zealand on iOS, is opt-in and will expand to the US in the coming weeks and months. Netflix spokesperson MoMo Zhou confirmed the accuracy of Bloomberg’s report, stating they are in a learn and listen phase for this beta test.
