Syria’s Sharaa looks to boost ties with Turkey, Azerbaijan during Antalya visit

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Antalya, Turkey, to discuss trilateral cooperation with Turkey and Azerbaijan, focusing on energy, infrastructure, and security. During his visit to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Sharaa also engaged with Libya’s Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, agreeing to establish a joint committee for bilateral cooperation regarding Syrians in Libya. Additionally, Sharaa held discussions with Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani, marking a potential new chapter in Syria-Kosovo relations, which were previously strained under former President Bashar al-Assad.
