The Nigerian authorities have banned the song Tell Your Papa by artist Eedris Abdulkareem, which criticizes President Bola Tinubu for the country’s economic and security issues, citing it as inappropriate and objectionable. Tinubu’s economic reforms have led to increased living costs, high inflation, and food scarcity, while insecurity remains a major concern. Abdulkareem urges Tinubu’s son to address the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians and has a history of releasing controversial songs, such as the banned Nigeria jaga jaga in 2003.
