Best-selling author Jillian Lauren was shot by police and charged with attempted murder after getting involved in a search for hit-and-run suspects in Los Angeles. During a chase, officers found suspects near Lauren’s home, where she refused to drop her weapon and pointed it at them, resulting in being shot in the shoulder. Lauren’s husband, Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, also resides in the same home.
