Indian shrimp exporter Coastal Corporation reported that most U.S. buyers are willing to accept the higher costs from a new 26% tariff imposed by President Trump, while the company is also looking to expand exports to China, Russia, and Canada to diversify its market. The U.S. remains Coastal Corp’s largest market, accounting for two-thirds of India’s $7.4 billion seafood exports in fiscal 2024. Following the tariff announcement, Coastal Corp’s shares fell 14%, impacting peers like Apex Frozen Foods and Avanti Feeds as well.
