Van trapped in London car park for two years costs firm £40k

The owners of HCS Furniture, Mark Lucas and Steve Davies, have faced a financial loss of £40,000 due to their electric Vauxhall van being trapped in a malfunctioning stacked car park in central London since December 2022. Despite assurances from the concierge that the van would be returned soon, 26 months later, they are still waiting for repairs and unable to reclaim their money through insurance until the situation is resolved. The car park’s installer, Double Parking Systems, has declined to comment on the issue due to a non-disclosure agreement.
