Israeli forces have barred Sheikh Moataz Abu Sneineh, director of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, from the site for 15 days, following the sealing off of parts of the mosque from the local waqf directorate. Locks and chains were placed on internal room doors, escalating tensions over the holy site. Another staff member was also banned from the mosque for 14 days, while Sheikh Moataz Abu Sneineh and another staff member were detained for over five hours before being handed the 15-day ban.
