US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose an additional 50 per cent tariff on Chinese imports in retaliation for China’s 34 per cent tariff on US imports. Trump warned on Truth Social that talks with China will be terminated if the 34 per cent increase is not withdrawn by April 8th, 2025. Meanwhile, the European Union offered the US an agreement to lift all tariffs on industrial goods, while the UK vowed to support its car manufacturers amid Trump’s 25 per cent tariff on car imports.
